Following upon its recent expansion into Germany, J&T BANKA is broadening its reach into another neighboring market and is opening a representative office in Warsaw.
The Bank is entering the Polish market primarily with the aims of establishing relationships with local players and researching the market not only for financial services but also for those sectors in which the Bank most often finances projects.
“Poland is the Czech Republic’s-third largest trading partner. The growing economy there and the partial vacating of positions by investors from Western Europe and the U.S. are opening up many opportunities. We want to offer Czech entrepreneurs our expertise in cross-border financing, because we know how difficult it can be to get such financing in foreign markets,” comments Jan Kotek, member of J&T Banka’s Board of Directors and head of the corporate loans division, adding, “The representative office is a first step that will help us to familiarize ourselves with the Polish market and to consider the possibilities for expanding our services.”
