Michal Sedlák becomes new member of the Board of Directors at J&T FINANCE GROUP SE


At the end of February, Michal Sedlák, Group Chief Risk Officer of J&T FINANCE GROUP SE, became a member of its Board of Directors. In his new role, Sedlák will continue to be primarily responsible for risk management at the level of the entire bank holding. He also will be involved in establishing governance and supervisory standards that will strengthen the holding’s stability and resilience while enabling it to respond effectively to challenges and opportunities in a rapidly changing financial environment.

Michal Sedlák brings to the Board of Directors more than 19 years of audit, regulatory, and risk management experience in the financial sector. He began his professional career at KPMG and subsequently worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Frankfurt office, at Česká spořitelna, and at the Czech National Bank, where he specialized in market risk management and implementation of the Basel III regulatory framework.

In 2018, Sedlák joined J&T Banka as a prudential regulation specialist. In October 2021, he became Group Chief Risk Officer. In this role, he then contributed significantly to setting up and harmonizing risk management processes across the Group and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
